Alternative rock -- 9:30 p.m. Feb. 12
Howie & Son's will host Bakersfield-based The Dalloways, a band that plays Brit pop-influenced music -- think Radiohead, Blur, The Smiths, Belle and Sebastian or New Order.
It's the first time the band, led by former College of the Sequoia English instructor Gerhard Enns, has played in Visalia.
"It's hard to find other bands in the Valley that play this type of music," Enns said. "It's really atmospheric, but rocky."
Audiences range from people in their 30s who grew up with the music and younger "hipsters," said Enns, who know teaches college in Bakersfield.
Redding-based History Invades plays music influenced by the New York City dance scene.
Information: Howie & Son's Pizza, 2430 S. Mooney Blvd., Visalia. The free show is for all ages.
